Top 10 Instagram locations Abu Dhabi
Looking for the best locations to take those perfect instagram shots? Abu Dhabi has more than it’s fair share of great instagram locations, to a large part because of the amazing architecture and the world-class designers that have been employed to create the amazing architecture, and partly because of the gorgeous hotels – see our best hotels in Abu Dhabi page for more details about those.
In no particular order…
The architecture of Yas Viceroy incorporates a sort of geometric shell with LED lights embedded – it looks stunning during the day, but really comes into it’s own at night time when the lights change colour. The hotel was designed by Hani Rashid and Lise Anne Couture from Asymptote Architecture.
Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque
It’s physically impossible to take a bad photo of this architectural gem. Physically impossible. Sheikh Zayed was the first president of the UAE – his mosque incorporates lots of marble, gold and crystals and an amazing mosaic floor.
Qasr al Sarab
I’ve already sung the praises of Qasr al Sarab in my Best Hotels in Abu Dhabi page, but this resort is the perfect place to get those rolling sand dune desert shots. It also has one of the world’s most beautiful outdoor pools, and I’ve seen many fashion shoots around the grounds and using the castle-like resort itself as a backdrop.
Sheikh Zayed Bridge
Yep, same guy. The Sheikh Zayed Bridge is one of the finest masterpieces of the late Zaha Hadid. The curves apparently evoke the sand dunes of the desert.
Jumeirah at Etihad Towers
The five Etihad Towers are worth a few instagram shots in their own right, and across the road you’ve got the Emirates Palace hotel – not somewhere I’d recommend staying, but certainly worth a visit for some photos. It impresses on sheer scale alone. But to really make the most of the Etihad Towers, spend some time in the Jumeirah hotel. It’s definitely worth staying in – the rooms and suites are gorgeous, but the lobby is spectacular – it has one of the most beautiful carpets I’ve seen, and a stunning chandelier – and the bars are also gorgeous.
Hakkasan Abu Dhabi
You can’t go wrong with a Hakkasan restaurant. The interior design is always dark and sexy, but not too dark for a great photo. And the food always looks amazing – win win.
Hakkasan Abu Dhabi is located inside the Emirates Palace, which is also a great instagram location. Win win win.
Ok… I’m out for now… I only managed to find 6 perfect instagram locations in Abu Dhabi. I’ll keep looking. I guess I could have cheated and counted Etihad Towers and Jumeirah at Etihad Towers as two different locations, and the Yas Viceroy as both a building and a hotel…
