romantic hotels amsterdam – amsterdam coolest hotels
Looking for the most beautiful hotels in Amsterdam ? Cool hotels Amsterdam ? You’re in the right place!
Amsterdam has a wide range of fabulous hotels – there are some great luxury hotels from some of the leading luxury brands – the Waldorf Astoria, Andaz and Sofitel Legend stand out from the pack – some beautiful boutique hotels, including some historic renovations of old Amsterdam townhouses – Hotel Estherea is the best example of these, and Hotel Conservatorium is a conversion from an old music school. And the value end of the market has just received a huge boost with the opening of a Hoxton hotel.
All of the best hotels in Amsterdam are concentrated in the Central area. It would be remiss of you not to visit some of the other districts on your visit though – try De Pijp, a sort of Latin hipster district with street markets and cafes, and the renovated dock area of Oostelijke Eilanded – modern architecture and repurposed warehouses.
Although the design of many of the best hotels is impressive, I feel a special mention must be made of the Dutch design wunderkid Marcel Wanders, who took the design helm at the Andaz Prinsengracht.

Beautifuldotcom.com isn’t affiliated with any brand, and we don’t get paid for recommendations, unlike some other sites. We evaluate Amsterdam hotels based solely on merit – we look for ‘wow factor’, a bit of glamour, and beautiful design.
If you’re looking for a design or boutique hotel, I would recommend The Conservatorium. At the luxury end the Waldorf Astoria looks like you’re best bet, and at the value end you need to stay at The Hoxton.
